A year ago the outlook for our future seemed bleaker than in any other time in my life. The economy was struggling, the banking system had suffered tremendous losses, and I don’t think anyone felt secure in their jobs. Then I attended an event put on by 5th graders across Utah County at the Freedom Festival. My son joined others in singing a song with the line:
“…we are the hope of America…”
Hearing that I knew – there is hope, for us, for our future and for our children. Those kids are our future and they are filled with optimism. I knew I needed to do all I could to assure they would have all the opportunities I have been given, and more – we owe them a brighter future!
Issues arise constantly, in the legislature, that affect our future. I want to be part of the process to ensure we do what is right for our children’s future.
